   Dear Mr. Sanderson, I believe B. C Rain High School should have a drama class. Having a drama class gives students an opportunity to play different characters from different perspectives. Along with this, they can gain inspiration and motivation from some of the characters they portray. This would also give students who are aspiring to become actors/actresses an opportunity to put something on their resume to impress colleges and agencies. This could also be beneficial to the school by getting recognized and receiving grants for the students great work.       This course will also be about developing character, confidence, and the understanding of different viewpoints. This class will consist of analyzing scripts from different time periods. Drama class also prepares individuals to work in a team-work oriented workplace.    Walking into AP Language and Composition I did not know what to expect. I just heard that there would be a lot of writing and reading. Of course 1st quarter was somewhat a breeze. Although there have been bumps with specification of assignments and what is already to be expected of me as an 11th grade AP Language student. In this quarter I have learned how to manage assignments, correct my mistakes, and bounce back from certain grades. I'm hoping to learn more on the different types of essays and their requirements, how to be more specific on what I want to say, and be more open on my opinions.

   A moment where I was mesmerized by nature was when I took a trip to Gatlinburg with my friends. Once we got in the mountains, or what seemed what like mountains, my best friend told me to look out the window; I looked. I saw the trees, they looked as if each layer of trees were on a higher level of elevation. The time of day was close to evening, so the sun set right upon the highest layer of trees. It was also around Christmas time so once we got in the city area there were red and green lights, holiday music playing, and just a cheerful vibe all in all. The layers of trees were even more mesmerizing when night fell and the stars glistened above them, with the moon giving the trees a type of radiance.

   The article A Sounthbound Adventure begins with two people, Christine Martens and John Haffner, who decide to go on an adventure on a thru-hike. They traveled on the Pacific Crest Trail, which they soon found out would have many trails along the way. Even though they prepared by bringing ice axes, crampons, a GPS, maps, a compass, and even extra batteries for the GPS, they still were not prepared for what was yet to come. As they hiked they came across some hikers who were on a snow course, they soon found out that one of the hikers had slipped in the snow and fallen hundreds of feet. This news struck even more fear in their bodies that they had before. Throughout the hike, they went through many high elevations areas that caused them to sometimes get lost in the snow, especially Christina because of her height.    I'm originally from Mobile, Alabama, but I did live in Georgia for three years. My favorite thing to do are dance, talk, and hang out with my friends. The three goals I will achieve this year are straight A's, being more positive, and learning to be more patient and that everything is not going to go my way. I joined AP classes because of the mindset it prepares you to have when presented with a challenging task. I am Aliyah.
