Today, we read more of The Color Purple. We discussed the relationship between Shug Avery and Celie. Afterwards, we reviewed an AP prompt. I'm hoping that the prompt we receive tomorrow is just as easy.

Today was another chill day. I just corrected more of my claims and grammar paragraphs.

Today, we reviewed claims and grammatical errors. I sometime feel that I have trouble with punctuation when it comes to essay, so this helped our a lot. Afterwards, we read more of The Color Purple. Like I said, it gets more interesting as we read. I cannot wait to it on Broadway.

Today we were assigned more analysis question for The Color Purple. Afterwards, we revisited an essay we wrote a couple of weeks ago. It was a learning experience as well as entertaining seeing some of the things we wrote. In addition, we read more of the novel. As we read, I keep wanting to know more and more.

Today we reviewed the letters we read yesterday from The Color Purple. I actually learned even more today than yesterday about what was really going. In addition, we continued to read and it got even more juicer. Afterwards, we watched a scene from the movie. Everyone realized the movie left out so much information from the novel. The lesson to take from this....Always Read The Book First.

Today we began reading The Color Purple by Alice Walker. The beginning was quite shocking when first reading. Prior to reading this novel, I had not seen the movie in full. I just watched bits and pieces, I never knew what was really going on. I am kind of worried to read this novel because it may trigger certain emotions. Overall I'm thrilled to be reading this novel!

Today was another relaxed day. Friday we read three poems by Ben Jonson. We had an assignment to answer the questions behind the poem. It kind of opened my eyes from a more poetic aspect.
